Basel Capital Market Days

An der ersten Ausgabe der Basel Capital Market Days beleuchten Expertinnen und Experten die Voraussetzungen für die Funktionsfähigkeit des Finanzmarktes aus unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln.

Blockchain Challenge

Within this hackathon-like competition, teams of students were assigned to solve a real-world blockchain-related business case of renowned companies. After an extremely successful launch in 2018, the Blockchain Challenge took place annually in the spring semester until 2023. From 2024 onwards, it is continued with a revised concept as a block course just before the fall semster.

DeFi Roundtable

The event series provides a neutral forum of exchange between representatives from
national and supranational regulatory agencies, academia, and the crypto
industry.

Banking Meets DLT

A jointly organized Conference of the Center for Innovative Finance of the University of Basel, Swiss Banking Association and Swiss Blockchain Federation.

Blockchain Symposium

On 23 Mai 2019, the University of Basel hosted the second Blockchain Symposium, which this year focused primarily on professionalization and decentralization and also dealt with legal issues and challenges in the blockchain sector.
